A Troy, Ohio manufacturer of machine
parts and assemblies is expanding into North Texas. Jayna
Inc. will house its new division at 2555 Tarpley Road in
Carrollton, a 32,480-square-foot building it has acquired.
The 20-year-old company, which primarily serves the
automotive and climate technologies industries, is based in
Troy, Ohio, near Dayton. Contracts it has in Dallas-Fort
Worth have led it to expand into the area.
Jean Russo of Cushman & Wakefield negotiated the deal on
behalf of Jayna. Not many deals are finalized in the hot
summer months, she said.
“The third quarter is typically the slowest quarter in
Texas,” Russo said. “Boards don’t meet in the late summer,
everybody’s on vacation, and it’s hot, so new companies that
are in the market typically wait until after Labor Day.”
The building at 2555 Tarpley Road sold after being on the
market for 90 days. Brian Pafford and Kevin J. Santaularia
of Bradford Commercial Real Estate Services represented the
seller, Cleveland-based PAI Dallas.
Jayna is expected to move into its Carrollton facility—which
includes both warehouse and office space—sometime within the
next month. The company plans to hire local employees,
though Russo wasn’t able to give an estimate of how many new
jobs Jayna’s expansion will create.
